Tungsten carbide, has become a popular material in the bridal jewelry industry due to its extreme hardness and high resistance to scratching.

Its design and high polish, part of its attraction to consumers is its technical nature.

Tungsten is roughly 10 times harder than 18K gold (gold being the traditional material of wedding bands) , 5 times harder than steel, or about 4 times as hard as titanium.

Tungsten Carbide measures between an 8 and a 9 on the mohs hardness scale. Compare that with a diamond which measures a 10, the hardest material on the planet.

Due to the extreme hardness of these rings, they will hold their shape, no bending.
